The creation of Océano Travesía :

The creation of Océano Digital.

Self help: the creation of Océano Ámbar. New subjects for a new era.

1994

The creation of Océano Multimedia, which supports the publication of all types of audiovisual and multimedia works and complements.

1988

The creation of Circe, a label specializing in biography, narrative and essay. Circe, the Group reaches into to bookstore channels.

1983

The creation of Océano-Centrum. Its mission is to offer Spanish-language readers the best scientific and technical material in the world.

1978

The creation of Océano Group Publishing, which encompasses all the company's labels.

1977

The acquisition of Editorial Éxito, subsidiary of the United States' Grolier, and its prestigious repertoire, which includes the Jackson Classics.
The acquisition of Instituto Gallach.

1972

The creation of Océano Publications , the Group’s flagship.
A new notion of didactic works emerges: image demands a central role in the transmission of content.

1959

José Lluis Monreal founds Danae , with the purpose of bringing to the greater public works of disclosure and reference that until then had only reached a minority. The Book of Sexual Life, published in 1967, constitutes an unprecedented editorial and sociological achievement.

1929

The Instituto Gallach receives the Grand Prize, the Gold Medal at the Universal Exposition held in Barcelona.

1899

The Instituto Gallach for Bookstores and Publications is created in Barcelona.
Its high-quality, prestigious Works form the base of modern illustrated books.
